Why Us?
International Auction Galleries has been a leading Australian Auction House since its establishment in 1985. We specialise in High Quality "Boutique" style Coin and Banknote Auctions that whilst small in size, are big in results, and focus mainly on selling the Rarest Numismatic items available. Our Auction Sales are always seen as one of the yearly Numismatic highlights and are regularly attended by all the biggest dealers in Australia. As at 2011 we have done 75 Coin Auctions over a period of 26 years, and have achieved over $95 Million in sales.
Our Coin and Banknote Sales continue to be one of the market leaders in Rare and Investment items, and are continually setting new Record Prices. IAG also holds several pricing "World Records", including the highest price ever for any Australian Numismatic Item, and the highest price achieved at any Numismatic auction in Australia. In 2008 we sold 2 items in consecutive sales for over $1,000,000 each.
IAG's Numismatic specialist and the Auction co-ordinator Paul is considered one of the leading Numismatic Experts on Australian Coin and Banknote Rarities, and is a past National President of A.N.D.A. (The Australasian Numismatic Dealers Association). Paul is also the longest ever serving ANDA Committee member, having stood for the last 14 years and counting, including serving as Vice President for 6 years, chairing numerous Numismatic sub committees, and heading up the Ethics and Good Conduct Committee (E&GCC).
Our commission rates are the most competitive in Australia, with some Sellers paying NO COMMISSIONS OR FEES AT ALL (0% Commission), with the highest rate set at a low 10%. We also have the most competitive buyer's premium. With other auction houses charging as much as 35% in total commissions and premiums, you can save thousands on your total realised amount by selling with IAG. Buyers and Sellers are the winners in our auctions. Combine this with the best range, integrity, and professional service, you can see why we have become...
The Leaders in Numismatic Auctions in Australia.

NOTE: Our cut off date for consignments is generally between 8 to 10
