First Crimea medal with 3 bars- Sebastopol, Balaklava, Alma 1854, with ribbon and buckle, 2nd Indian Mutiny Medal with single clasp Lucknow 1857-58, with ribbon and buckle, Third Turkish Crimea medal 1855 (British issue), Fourth Long Service and Good Conduct medal (1855-74). Includes substantial amount of information including family papers, service records, almanac and a poem dedicated to Charles Inglis. Minor contact marks and usual polishing, with spare ribbons. Very rare. (4 items total). Charles Inglis was involved in defending the British base in the Battle of Balaclava 1854, resulting in the 93rd 2nd Bn becoming the only Infantry Regiment of the British Army to be granted the distinction of bearing the word Balaklava on its colours. They were to win eternal fame as 'The Thin Red Line' at this battle.   VF/gVF
